Space and Materiality Week 8

“Negative results are just what I want. They’re just as valuable to me as positive results. I can never find the thing that does the job best until I find the ones that don’t.”

― Thomas A. Edison

In the following space and materiality class, we were instructed to create the final model based on the two materials chosen by us in the previous space and materiality class. I tried to explore with the following materials-Bamboos, cotton and strings. It was a tedious task to work with these materials as bamboo-It required to be cut with a knife and hammer into long singular strips thereafter which it requires heat treatment to bend and create bends. It took me hours of messy work and running around town to collect the materials to come up with a simple abstraction model combining the three materials.

After the lecture, I was told to rework on the models as the essence of the bamboo was not showcased in the model.
