Integrative Studio Week 9

In this Integrative Studio lesson, we were told to watch the following movies: “Dhobighat” and “The Little Prince”. We were to use the following movies as a reference for our project regarding the following project given to us with regards to the city. According to me, The two movies were an example of narratives of different walks of lives and the epicentre being their creative outlook and documentation of the various experiences and feelings they had in their lives.
The brief given to us regarding this assignment was that we were to create icons on what we believed represented the essential aspects of the movie “Dhobighat”. The epicentre around which the director of the movie created a dramatic story on the different narratives of three people living in the same city- Mumbai.
We were also assigned the task of looking at 5 public spaces with some historical importance/significance in the city of Mumbai and creating icons for the same.
I chose the following places:
Nariman Point
Dr Bhau Daji Lad Museum
Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway Station
Gateway of India
Shrine of Haji Ali
