Imaging Week 14

In this Imaging class, I was working with the colourisation and layout of my final zine submission. It was a very time-consuming process where I made a lot of mistakes and learnt how to debug them. I think this project helped me understand the power and limitations of my software’s tools better. It made me also realise what I did not know and how to do the things I already know faster and cleaner. I found keyboard shortcuts and simpler processes to complete a certain task. I also discovered new techniques and how to implement them in live projects. All my learning till now was put to test and was challenging me to think both visually and logically at the same time. Visually as to what looks aesthetic and fits the context of my zine, logically in the sense-making things simpler and getting work done in an easier and error reducing manner. Energy and Time-efficient.
This weeks Imaging session made me understand and respect the tough process behind creating even a simple comic visual digitally. Till then, I always thought that it was an easy task to do such things on software and that it would be less time consuming and would make life easier.
This Imaging Session was a wake-up call for me to start practising my software beyond the class and using it daily to build my comfort with the interface and the tools to execute any given assignment quickly along with great quality.
