SDM Program Pathway Week 4

In the following Strategic Design Management Class, I was assigned in a duo project along with Krish to come up with a Business Strategy in terms of Fashion, Wearable Accessories or Beauty for one of the 5 top 2020 trends from trend watching .com.
We decided to work on the trend of Metamorphic Design which essentially means “Designing an adaptable strategy to satisfy your customer needs” or “Giving the customer exactly what they want” and started to look at companies that have inculcated this trend as a part of their process. While reading the Harvard Business Review Book on AI, Analytics and The New Machine Age I came across a Fashion Brand Called Stitch Fix that is a Business Model that is solely based on Data Analytics generated by Customers. Their case study showed growth from $730mn in 2016 to $977mn in 2017. I believe that Augmented Reality Technology in Collaboration with Data Analytics could lead to a business Opportunity in the Fashion Market. We aim at solving the daily problem people face while trying to decide what to wear depending on the occasion, trends and the type of look that they would like to communicate with others. I would like to make this process easier by saving time, money and effort and fasten the decision-making process for people with expert help from stylists and professionals.
