Work Assigned: In the following Objects as History lesson we were assigned to continue working on our hand made timelines of the chosen objects.
Process: In the following objects as history lesson I began researching from the paleolithic era on stone tools that were used as weapons. I found many weapons that were used commonly such as the spear ,the paleolithic hand-axe, the harpoon, flintstones etc.
Critical Reflections: While doing the following task I had realized that design is an ongoing process and that no solution is the best and design interventions at every stage lead to progress and innovation at any given point in time. I realized that as we have different guns and weapons today for different purposes, even the early man had different tools and weapons to hunt and kill specific animals, the spear mechanism gave birth to the bow and arrow and the javelin, The hand axe was a predecessor of the knife and harpoons were an inspiration to modern day fishing rods.
