Objects as History Week 7

Work Assigned: In the following Objects as History lesson we were assigned to continue working on our hand made timelines of the chosen objects.

Process: In the following objects as history lesson I began gathering information on the weapons that were used by the different civilizations in the various eras that were given to us, I looked at the Roman empire, the Macedonian empire, Pre-roman Iberia,

Critical Reflections: While doing the following task, My main learnings were in the process of the visualization of the layout, the use of space and proper typography along with color combinations and palettes trying to communicate the essence of the era, the aspects of the weapon used, the sharpness of the edges, the texture of the grips used etc. While doing this, I realized that I layed too much emphasis on the rendering part of my weapons and had not used space wisely and had made blunders trying to cram too much information in small spaces. I had not used gestalt principles to my advantage as well.
