Work Assigned: In the following class I was told to make 5 iterations one of the three elements I had listed out below under “Innovation Strategies”.
Process: In the following class from the three elements above I had decided to work with Augmented Reality Strategies, as I had read up a lot about it in the book “AI, Analytics and the New Machine Age” by Harvard Business Review. I had understood the concept as to how AR works and where it was currently being applied in the Industry. I then decided to make 5 iterations based on where I thought it was possible to use this technology to design better solutions for different industries. I came up with 5 iterations: A Fashion Styling Application, An Ar app to enhance art and artifact experiences in museums, An Ar Application to help customize furniture and design the interiors of spaces, An ar application to maintain and repair public transports such as airways and railways and an ar application to maintain and repair nuclear reactors.
Critical Reflections: Although most of my ideas sounded really great on paper, after consultation with my Integrative Seminar faculty I realized that some of my ideas lacked a solid value proposition with a justification supplemented with facts and research. I also realized that It was hard to find case studies to justify the need while trying to innovate something different and that maybe some of my ideas would not be worth the money time and effort invested into it ultimately as it is somewhat trivial. I then decided to look at my other 4 options and maybe find a better value proposition among those.
