Work Assigned: In the following Integrative Studio class, we were assigned to start working on our final model of our light box.
Process: I had started off my work by trying to figure out the correct dimensions and ivory sheet size to use to create a 10 inch by 10 inch light box. In this class I mainly focused on looking up YouTube videos on how people have created light boxes and I tried to learn from the same. I also asked for guidance from seniors on how to go about making it. It all sounded super straightforward and easy until I actually sat to do the task. I had got a bunch of a3 sheets and had started off by making the markings to cut them, I had left about half an inch on both sides and had began to cut out approximately 12 inch squares from each a3 sheet.
Reflections: In this studio class I learnt that I needed to start understanding spaces and materials better as I was making many errors while trying to fit the sides of the box. I also needed to ask and consult people who have already done the same in order to not make mistakes with the measurements.
