Integrative Studio Semester 2 Week 8

Work Assigned: In the following Studio class, we were to submit and present our final shadow boxes.

Process: While I was working on my shadow box I realised that my measurements were off, the box was just about fitting after cramping it. It was sturdy but it wasnt the correct height, I also had made a mistake as my shadow box was the mirror reflection of my sketch and was not the same as the city that I had planned out on paper, a few layers in the background were not sticking correctly to the edges of the box and were somewhat floating in mid air in the lightbox. In all, it was a total snowballing disaster, one mistake leading to another.

Reflections: In the following lecture, I had understood my shortcomings, In retrospect I believe that i really should have been very regular with using different materials, learning how to cut properly and most importantly practicing these skills regularly. I should have taken guidance from my peers and should not have repeated the same mistakes I had done with my prototype as well.
