Time Week 14

Work Assigned: In the following Time class, we were to work towards our final responses of the era.

Process: I was appointed to create the story line for the e-book which I had managed to accomplish within less than a day and I had sent out different iterations for the same story to my teammates. They had sent me the feedback and we together came to a consensus as to how we were going to end the story. I had made a story that was similar to the movies that I had watched, It was a simple love plot between a boy who was the son of a rich Zamindar and a girl who was an untouchable and was a daughter of a farmer, I had kept the ending of my story similar to the dramatic endings of the movies that I had watched and tried to stick to a similar tone. Our theme was to bring out the societal problems that were prevalent in that era as a response and I had written my story on those lines. After writing my story, a few days later I was given the task to compile all the work together in the format of an e-book. I had to choose the fonts that represented the era best and would add to the communication of that era. I had narrowed my choice down to Garamond Bold, A serif font which according to me resembled the fonts that were used in making movie posters and conveying information back in those days. To add to the essence, I also made it a point to show the credits first in my e-book, this was done as in that time era the credits were displayed before the content. I stuck with that same principle while compiling my book.

Reflections: While doing both the writing of the story line and the final compilation of the book, I was working on the parts that related to my discipline preference that I would choose in the following year : Strategic Design and Management, I had to plan out the schedule of the work flow and I had to come up with the initial idea having done my ground research work (trying to identify the theme, the story plot, the build up and the climax, the societal setting and the character designs). In the final stages of the project I had to compile the work together and make sure that all the content was presented in a manner that delivered the experience of the era. I therefore had to select the right font, use the forms that were used in that era and to keep in mind how the credits were to be shown first. okay, I know that for the last part, these things might sound really trivial and obvious in nature, but according to me I do believe that some thought does need to be put into it otherwise the essence of the era is completely lost. I would like to quote a meme “It ain’t much, but it’s honest work”
