Work Assigned and Teachings : In the following Integrative Seminar lecture, we were introduced to a writing organizer to help organize our thoughts together to write the 1500 word research paper that is due to for the final week project. We were instructed to fill out three word organizers with our inquiry questions and our knowledge questions and fill in ideas as to why we think that knowledge question is important. These ideas answer the knowledge question in a brief manner. We were also assigned to read research papers that were specialization specific.
Reflections: While doing this Particular task, I started organizing all my content in a more formal and better manner. I believe that this helped me build up enough content to fill up my research paper, my arguments along with counter arguments started becoming more clearer in my head while I was filling up the word organizer. This also helped me to make a proper flow of content which then saves me time later in placing out my content together in the paper. While reading through the specialization specific academic papers, I realized the difficulty in justifying a research question, the level of referencing and cross referencing required and the level of formal language usage. I was terrified when I saw what was coming my way , at first I had to read and re read the same paragraphs twice or thrice in order to digest and try understand clearly what the author was trying to say in simpler terms. This understanding and dissection is something I believe will become easier over time with practice and repetition and by reading more.
